A siren
woke me
up
while I was
meditating
entering
on an inhalation
No
I wasn’t
asleep
I mean
not
the nighttime kind
but the asleep
of not Awake
You might be
asleep
too
right now
even though
you are feeling
in to words
about Awakeness
I am not
criticizing
you
We are all
the same
Next time
you
will remind
me
like the siren
deeply urgent exhale
cutting through
the chaos
of traffic
trying to save
a life
